About us
Marisa, Sara and Silvio
Our story as a couple began in 1979, and in 1994 we decided to restore the seventeenth-century farmhouse. Much of the work was done by ourselves and our family, respecting the Frattiero’s original proportions and appearance, while bringing in all the modern comforts needed to make it warm and welcoming for us and our guests.
Marisa
Art, reading, music, plants and travel are my passions. When we finished the restoration, opening our home to guests felt like the natural thing to do — a desire to share it and let it live life to the full. I devote a great deal of energy to the garden and to looking after our guests; I appreciate open, spontaneous people.
Sara
I am the point of reference for our international guests: I have a real vocation for learning foreign languages and their cultures; I study English, Spanish and French, and I am fascinated by Eastern languages. I love the beauty of nature’s details and the study of interior design.
Silvio
I am passionate about engines of every kind and a motorcyclist at heart. I love family, easy-going company, music (from classical to rock) and living surrounded by nature. Marisa and I have travelled across many European countries, India, Africa, Ecuador and Brazil; it was Ireland that made us fall in love with B&Bs.
