We had the pleasure of spending a wonderful family day at B&B Il Frattiero and we can say without hesitation that it was a truly unforgettable experience. Since our arrival we have been greeted with a warmth and kindness out of the ordinary: Marisa and Silvio are two exceptional hosts, a really beautiful couple not only in the most obvious sense, but above all for their harmony, sympathy and ability to make guests feel at home. Their availability and attention to detail are perceived at all times of the stay. They are always ready to chat, give advice and share their love for this wonderful place. The passion they put into what they do makes everything even more special. The B&B is located in a lovely location, surrounded by nature and surrounded by a regenerating quiet. It is the ideal place for those who want to completely disconnect from the stress and chaos of the city, to find serenity and enjoy time with loved ones. We enjoyed every single moment of our day: from the beauty of the landscape to the absolute peace that you breathe, up to the family atmosphere that Marisa and Silvio manage to create naturally. A peaceful place in the middle of nature, away from the traffic and noise of the city. The owner of the place is very helpful and the cleanliness is excellent. I will come back another time when I need it and for this reason I highly recommend it.
We (family of 4) stayed at Il Frattiero when visiting an old friend in Ferrara. Had a great experience: friendly and helpful owners, clean room which they had set up for four people, private (detached) bathroom. Kids enjoyed the pool since it was an incredibly hot weekend — the in-room AC helped a lot! Would highly recommend if you’re looking to be out in the countryside, or just want a slightly different experience from staying in a city. Plus, it’s a fairly easy bus ride (~20 minutes) into Ferrara. We didn’t have a car and the owners gave the entire family a ride to the nearest bus stop when our friend wasn’t able to come pick us up.
We were greeted with grace and friendliness by Marisa and her husband, both very nice and helpful. Excellent location, immersed in the countryside just outside Ferrara, an oasis of peace, ideal for relaxing. Clean, spacious room. We recommend breakfast with fresh baked goods, perhaps homemade…
We booked the structure for an afternoon / evening to be able to hold a graduation party. We also used the rooms of the B&B for overnight accommodation at a more than fair price. The facility is very pleasant and the hosts were helpful throughout the organization. Excellent cleanliness and services provided. The hosts are also in contact with a very good and competent catering service (which we use). The final event was a success.
In the midst of an African heat wave on the Po Valley, Marisa and Silvio welcomed us in their house surrounded by 2 m high corn fields! The house is located in a square surrounded by the greenery of the garden, the sounds of the countryside and the coolness, also guaranteed by the thick brick walls of what was an ancient farmhouse, completely renovated by themselves to live and welcome guests. The guest rooms are upstairs, fresh and equipped with desirable amenities. Marisa takes care of it personally with Silvio who watches over the guests in the garden… to enjoy the pool, the sun loungers on the lawn and also to let the children admire the rainbow of the sun in the sprinklers in operation. Breakfast with a wide choice of sweet and savory, depending on the tastes that are requested in time to satisfy them at best. Ferrara is 18 minutes away by car and the location at a minimum distance from the Ferrara-Mare highway is excellent for heading in all directions, from the beaches of Ferrara to the Veneto of the Euganean and Padua hills, from Bologna to the Tuscan Apennines or the Adriatic. Il Frattiero is really “a home away from home”, to try to believe and to know Marisa and Silvio.
I was at Frattiero to celebrate my birthday, the owners were always kind and helpful. Quiet place, clean and well organized inside the house and in the garden. We had a fantastic day, highly recommended.
We returned to the Frattiero after many years and for us it was a confirmation: location in the middle of the greenery but very close to the city and the main roads, absolute tranquility, well-kept garden and swimming pool, very large and comfortable room, rich and abundant breakfast… Marisa and Silvio welcomed us very well and made us feel at home… everything was fantastic!!
